As we enter the second half of Ramadan 1447, now is the time to prepare for Sadaqah tul Fitr (Fitrana). Due at the end of the blessed month, this obligatory charity purifies our fasts and brings joy to those in need during Eid.

The Four Types According to Hadith

According to Sahih al-Bukhari (Hadith 1506/1507), four types of Sadaqah tul Fitr have been mentioned:

  • Dates: 1 Saa’ (3.84 kg) – Recommended Fitrana: £30
  • Raisins: 1 Saa’ (3.84 kg) – Recommended Fitrana: £14
  • Barley: 1 Saa’ (3.84 kg) – Recommended Fitrana: £9
  • Wheat: 1/2 Saa’ (1.92 kg) – Recommended Fitrana: £5

Choosing Your Fitrana Amount

While you have the option to choose any of the four types, those who have been blessed with greater wealth are encouraged to be more generous when giving. This is an opportunity to express gratitude to Allah Almighty and support those in need.

Pay Your Fitrana
